Governor's Guard Creed
I volunteered and was selected as a member of the Governor's Guard drill team. I fully understand the commitment required of my chosen path and my thoughts and actions will always uphold the prestige, honor, and esprit de corps of the Governor's Guard Drill Team.

I realize that a member of the Governor's Guard drill team is not merely a cadet who represents the corps at drill meets, but is an elite individual expected to march better, practice harder, and to be more selfless than any other cadet.

I will never fail my fellow Governor's Guard drill team members by shirking any duty or training. I will always keep myself mentally and physically fit and shoulder my full share of the task, whatever it may be.

I will always accord my superiors fullest loyalty and I will always bear in mind the sacred trust I have in the ability of my team that I will accompany into competition.

I will show others by my military courtesy, discipline, and bearing that I am a well-trained cadet.

I will endeavor always to reflect the high standards of training and morale of the Governor's Guard Drill Team.

I will respect the abilities of my competitors. I will drill with all my might. Second place is not in my creed.

I will prove my ability as a Governor's Guard drill team member against other teams not by quarreling with my comrades, or by bragging about my deeds, but by my performance on the drill pad.

I will display a high degree of initiative and will volunteer my time to accomplish our team objectives and mission, though it may be inconvenient.

I will always realize that it takes a team to win drill competitions. We will blaze the path for others to follow.

I belong to the finest corps in the world. By my actions and deeds alone, I speak for my leadership ability. I will strive to uphold the honor and prestige of my corps, making people proud of me and of the unit to which I belong.
